Introducing Oikoband

For aging adults who want to stay in their home. For families who want to know they're okay.

A wearable companion designed for connection, independence, and peace of mind.

"The hardest part isn't the distance. It's the not knowing."

There is almost nothing designed for the space between full independence and full-time care.

Within the next decade, the number of Americans over 65 will outnumber those under 18 for the first time in history. Seventy-seven percent of them want to remain in their own homes. But the tools available to help are inadequate, and the families trying to bridge that gap from a distance are left carrying the weight of it.

For aging adults

A simple, reliable way to stay connected with family and maintain independence, without feeling isolated or overwhelmed by technology.

For their families

Reliable reassurance that their loved one is reachable and okay, so they can feel connected without the constant, quiet worry.

A companion worn on the wrist. A connection felt across any distance.

Oikoband is a wearable device for aging adults, paired with a family app. Family members send voice messages that play directly through the device. Aging adults respond instantly with a single button press. And ambient signals let families know the day is going normally, without cameras or intrusion.

Connection

Voice Messages

Family members send short voice messages from the app. They play directly through the device. One button press sends a voice message right back. The conversation goes both ways.

Awareness

Ambient Signals

Passive activity detection lets families know the day is going normally. No cameras, no intrusion, no asking.

Location

GPS Always On

Location awareness everywhere the device goes. No WiFi needed. Families know where their loved one is, simply and clearly.

Companion

Daily Moments

Morning weather. Game reminders. Routine nudges. Set up once by family, experienced every day as a natural part of the morning.

Two people. One device that serves them both.

The aging adult

70 or older, living independently, valuing autonomy above most things. They do not want to feel watched or managed. They want to stay home, on their own terms. Oikoband gives them something they actually want to wear.

The family

Most often a daughter, 40 to 65, carrying the quiet weight of caring from a distance. She is not shopping for a gadget. She is looking for relief from something that has been wearing on her for years.

Be the first to know when Oikoband is ready.
